This charming manor house in the south of Sweden (Småland) offers you the unique opportunity to experience the unspoilt Swedish countryside. The manor house from 1767 has a beautiful garden in front of the lake and is surrounded by a couple of houses rented out by long term.

Located between two pristine lakes and a Swedish forest, this charming estate offers many rooms where you can relax, unwind and dine in style. The country style kitchen has all the modern conveniences for you to whip up simple home cooked meals. There are 5 generous sized bedrooms which accomodate 10 guests in total. All rooms have stunning views either over the lake or the countryside.

With the lakeside jetty and wood fired sauna, you can try your hand at catching perch or pike - or just to take in the beauty of the surroundings - there are plenty of ways to relax. There is also a rowing boat if you want to discover some of the small remote islands. The vast forest offers scenic walks and bicycle rides (bicycles are available to hire at the local activity centre - as well as kayaks and canoes).

Technology is not forgotten with wireless internet and cable TV. There is also a small selection of DVDs and classic boardgames for guests to use at their leisure. The house is within walking distance of the village shop, a very nice restaurant, tennis court, golf course and activity centre. No dogs allowed.

We had a great time in Sweden and the weather was very mediterranean! Regarding the property review; the house was full of character and was in a beautiful location, with lots of space, very peaceful and wonderful views over the lake. Your help, and everything concerned with Grand Trip Sweden could not have been better. You replied quickly, answered every query and made the whole process extremely easy. You even managed to arrange an earlier arrival time so we could watch the England v Sweden match! I can happily recommend your company to any friends traveling to Sweden. Overall, we had a great time in Sweden and would definitely think about a return visit in a future year.

It was a very impressive place to stay, steeped in history with so many places both inside the house and in the huge outside space to explore. We felt very fortunate to stay in a property that has so many amazing original features, from the original artwork on the walls and ceilings, to the ancient anaglypta in the formal dining room. The property was very well equipped and expensively decorated and furnished. It felt every inch the cherished family home that comes from five generations of the same family living, working and maintaining a place like that. The owners were very keen to explain how everything worked and provided a very useful written guide to the house, the equipment and the grounds. They also wanted to be sure that we would take advantage of everything the place has to offer. We were encouraged to use the wood fired sauna, the small motor boat, explore the private lands for deer , moose and wild boar (even Chanterelle mushrooms, which we couldn't find). The owners were extremely trusting and generous in letting us use all of their things, some of which were clearly historic and very expensive and/or irreplaceable looking! (people with very young children may want to be careful!) We found so many things to do at the house, on the massive lake and in the village of Ramkvilla that we simply ran out time to try everything during our weeklong stay. Our group including five children ages 8-14 had a great time and were free to roam about like in holidays from days gone by. There were very few cars, few tourists and a lot of perfect tranquillity

The stay was gorgeous and the place offers everything you need to spend your holidays. The house / castle was of very high quality and all amenities were in good shape. We can recommend the place for couples who want to spend some relaxing days in Smaland. GrandTripSweden was very professional and all the booking , payments and support was simple and very speedy and without any delay. Very good responsiveness and good support is given.
